As I squeeze the dark dripping liquid from the cloth, I’m reminded how much is truly at our finger tips. No matter how many times I make this syrup, I’m still so grateful to have learned how to do it myself. Adding potent ingredients & eliminating preservatives, creating magic for our bodies is one of my favorite things ✨
This big batch will serve our family for the fall & winter months. A tablespoon daily, a drizzle on breakfast and a dash in smoothies. Elderberry syrup is an herbalist’s staple. Today I simmered the elderberries with; clove, ginger, astragalus, echinacea, & cinnamon.
I even poured a wonderful elder sun tea, perfect for sipping over ice 💜
